Mr. Morales obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Design from the University of Puerto Rico in Mayaguez. While studying engineering sciences, Mr. Morales worked as a Non-Destructive Inspector (Level 1) performing inspection of pipelines and tanks used in the oil and pharmaceutical industry in Puerto Rico. Further inspection included foundation piles and bridge construction.
Mr. Morales has over 20 years of experience in engineering design, inspection, and field supervision of residential, commercial, and industrial construction, including site and land development. Mr. Morales experience includes over 1,000 forensic engineering investigations in the areas of storm damage (hail, wind, tornado, lighting, and flood), water intrusion, and foundation assessments of residential, commercial, and industrial facilities. He has represented several clients as an Appraiser in the states of Georgia and Texas and acted as a court expert and provided out-of-court oral testimony (deposition).
As a consulting engineer, he managed and designed multiple infrastructure and utility projects (water, sewage, stormwater drainage, and irrigation systems). Mr. Morales experience includes heavy engineering construction for the US ARMY CORP OF ENGINEERS (dredging, underwater construction, and pile driving from off-shore maritime equipment).
He served as Professor of Civil Engineering at the Institute of Technology of Puerto Rico for seven years where he taught courses intended for civil engineering technicians in the areas of structural analysis, concrete/steel construction, and project management.
