Mr. Braquet has over 30 years direct experience working with energy, power and utility operations including over 20 years working for large public utilities (Louisiana Power & Light, New Orleans Public Service, and Entergy Corporation) in various engineering and management positions. His professional experience includes all aspects of power generation, energy utilization, and energy engineering. He has earned numerous professional certifications and citations pertaining to the energy business as well as having nationally tested professional engineering registration. He possesses advanced expertise in technical and economic project assessment and development. He has experience with over 60 large power systems projects, some exceeding 500 MW and $350 million in construction value. Over his career he has interfaced with most of the major U.S. engineering firms, many of the major industrial firms, the U.S. Department of Energy, and numerous state and local energy agencies.
Specialty areas include power generation (steam turbines, gas turbines, and internal combustion engines) systems, cogeneration applications, commercial & industrial energy utilization, HVAC-R systems, site power supply and emergency power systems, efficiency, environmental sustainability, and utility issues (contracts, supply, rates, deregulation, etc.).
Mr. Braquet’s current project work includes industrial and commercial power generation projects, utility market & fuel supply evaluations, various levels of energy studies, utility issues, the application of innovative & renewable energy systems, on-site & emergency power supply systems, energy performance contracts, sustainability planning & certification, as well as general engineering and project management.
