Mr. Cueva-Eguiguren has over 40 years of varied electrical engineering experience in the design of electrical systems and components for electric utilities, industrial, commercial, residential, and insurance related markets. His area of expertise includes: electrical generating power plants (fossil, hydroelectric and nuclear fuels), high voltage electrical substations, electrical distribution stations.
In addition, he has extensive experience in small and large scale multi-million forensic investigations related to cause and origin of product and system analysis associated with various electrical system failures, equipment failures, accidents, product liability, fires and natural phenomena disasters related to electrical systems. The forensic investigations included disturbances (harmonics) in the electrical distribution system in an office building in Puerto Rico, a high voltage electrical substation fire in Brazil, and numerous investigations of lightning damages in electrical systems throughout the U.S. Also, provided expert testimony in federal state and local courts.
Mr. Cueva-Eguiguren’s experience also includes directing, managing and overseeing multidiscipline engineering and design services for projects related to the utility, industrial, commercial, residential and government markets.
