Mr. Moran obtained his Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from the University of New Orleans and is a registered professional engineer in civil engineering in five states. His experience includes forensic engineering and failure analysis, design of offshore production and drilling facilities, gas and petroleum refinery plant project management, and supervision of municipal design and construction projects.
Mr. Moran’s forensic engineering experience includes failure analysis of residential and commercial structures as well as remedial design preparation. He has performed numerous inspections of construction induced vibration damage, foundation failures, and construction defects. His experience also includes concrete failure analysis, determining building code compliance, and analyzing contract performance disputes. He has extensive experience in evaluating structures damaged as a result of hurricanes, tornados, hail storms, floods, and earthquakes.
In addition, Mr. Moran served as the lead engineer for offshore and onshore projects. He configured platform components such as decks, helidecks, bridges and other appurtenances. He assessed platforms and designed deck extensions for crane layouts as well as steel structures such as equipment skids, temporary production facilities, etc.
