We are pleased to announce that Eric Fontenot, P.E. has joined the U.S. Forensic team in Lafayette, Louisiana. Mr. Fontenot obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana. He is a registered professional engineer in Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, Arkansas, Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, and British Columbia, Canada.
Forensic Engineering Experience
Mr. Fontenot has provided consulting services for legal, insurance, and corporate clients with respect to mechanical equipment failures. He has investigated failures related to oil and gas facilities, manufacturing facilities, fire protection systems, industrial and agricultural machinery and systems, mobile cranes, hydraulic systems, heavy and mobile equipment. He has conducted inspections to determine origin and cause of failure on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and equipment, and MEP systems and equipment. He has conducted metallurgical analyses and has investigated fires and explosions.
