Bill Barrows provided the opening invocation at the 2018 International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI) Annual Training Conference in Frisco, Texas on May 20, 2018. Mr. Barrows serves as the Chaplain for the national association.
The International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI) is an international professional association of more than 9,000 fire investigation professionals, united by a strong commitment to suppress the crime of arson through professional fire investigation. Their mission is to provide active support to fire, arson, and explosion investigation professionals through leadership in education, training, professional development, certification, networking, advocacy, and the provision of resources.
Mr. Barrows resides in Greenville, South Carolina. He is a Certified Fire Investigator (CFI), a Certified Fire & Explosion Investigator (CFEI), a Certified Insurance Fraud Investigator (CIFI), Associate in Claims (AIC), and a Fraud Claims Law Specialists (FCLS). He began his career as a firefighter responding to fires, conducting suppression operations, and assisting with training. However, most of his professional career has been devoted to fire investigations in the public and private sectors. With U.S. Forensic, Mr. Barrows investigates the origin and cause of fires associated with residential and commercial structures as well as vehicle and equipment fires. He has qualified and testified in South Carolina State courts as an expert witness in fire origin and cause determination.
