Mr. Fontenot is a graduate of the University of Louisiana-Lafayette with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering. His professional memberships include the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and the Louisiana Engineering Society (LES).
Mr. Fontenot has engineering experience in oil and gas industry. This includes the design, fabrication, and maintenance, and repair of equipment. He performed calculations to determine strength of materials, hydraulics, and pressures. Mr. Fontenot worked as a boat mechanic and worked on a variety of motors as well as other mechanical components and systems. He has experience with heavy machinery operation, welding, soldering, carpentry, lathes, and mills. As a student, he designed and built a device to compete in an international competition (ARLISS). He created a device to withstand a 12,000 ft. descent and navigate autonomously to a set of coordinates across a desert terrain.
With U.S. Forensic, Mr. Fontenot will conduct mechanical evaluations to determine cause of failure in machinery, equipment, and components. He will image vehicle data, obtain diagnostic data, document accident scenes, and perform calculations.
