
Fraud Awareness Week
Mr. Jeff Stark, P.E., CFL (Certified Forensic Locksmith) has been asked to speak at Fraud Awareness Week events hosted by Allstate Insurance Company. Mr. Stark will be educating the Houston, TX audience on vehicle post-theft evaluations for today’s vehicles and transponder systems. The presentation will address methods used to gain entry into a vehicle, bypassing of steering mechanisms, transmission gear shift, and ignition lock mechanisms. It will also cover the examination of keys, fobs, lock wafers, and finally the transponder system as it relates to investigating thefts.
Mr. Stark is a graduate of the University of New Orleans with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is a registered Professional Engineer in multiple states including Texas and is a Certified Forensic Locksmith. He is Certified in Automotive and General Forensic Locksmithing by the Associated Locksmiths of America, Security Professionals Association, and the International Association of Investigative Locksmiths. Mr. Stark’s automotive experience includes foreign and domestic vehicle failure analysis. In addition to mechanical analysis, he specializes in computer diagnostics, advanced engine performance troubleshooting, anti-theft system analysis and automotive locksmithing. He can determine if a mechanical failure resulted from a manufacturing defect, improper service or repair, lack of maintenance, operator error, or damage sustained in an accident.
The event is open to special investigators and adjusters. It will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM CST at the Allstate Building – 2nd Floor: Grimes Meeting Room – 4920 Westway Park Blvd., Houston, TX 77041
