We are pleased to announce that Mehdi Motaleb, Ph.D., P.E., has joined the U.S. Forensic team in St. Louis, MO. Mr. Motaleb obtained his Doctorate in Civil Engineering from Saint Louis University, Saint Louis, MO. He received his bachelor and master degrees in civil engineering from Azad University and Amirkabir University of Technology, both in Tehran, Iran, respectively. He is a registered professional engineer in Missouri and Texas.
Engineering Experience
As a structural engineer, Mr. Motaleb has designed a variety of deep foundations, i.e. driven pipes, drilled piers, auger cast piles, micro-piles, and rock anchors, for several roller coasters with high sensitivity to displacements. He also designed several small to mid-size steel-framed, concrete, wood, and masonry buildings as well as concrete retaining walls for SeaWorld and the Illinois Department of Transportation. He evaluated Saint Louis airport parking garage for additional loads and provided retrofit design. Mr. Motaleb has investigated cause of damage to a double deck steel bridge using finite element analysis and introduced a novel repair option for distortion-induced cracking in steel bridges. As a structural field engineer, Mr. Motaleb supervised construction projects.
Mr. Motaleb joins an exceptional team of structural experts. Our civil and structural engineers evaluate residential, commercial, and industrial structures to determine the cause, extent, and reparability of damages.
