Vehicle Crash Data (Black Box) Presentation

February 9, 2018 in News & Events

Kevin Brown, mechanical engineer and accident reconstructionist, provided training for the special investigators unit of GEICO.  He explained how to obtain and utilize information from crash data recorders.  His experience and case scenarios shed light on the benefits and limitations associated with pre-crash data.  He educated participants on possible pitfalls and how to ensure that the event recorded is associated with the incident that is being investigated.  After Mr. Brown’s presentation, a download demonstration was performed by GEICO investigators.
