Mr. Oyier is a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in Illinois and Tennessee. He has more than 11 years of professional engineering experience including 9 years of supervisory experience in public and private sector engineering.
With the Illinois Department of Transportation, Mr. Oyier conducted engineering design studies and wrote project reports ranging from roadway reconstruction, 3R improvements, intersection design studies, structure replacement, structure rehabilitation and bridge design. He determined the scope, location, design, and environmental impacts of transportation improvements.
As a U.S. Forensic engineering consultant, Mr. Oyier assesses damage to residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. He determines the cause and extent of damages and whether they are attributable to a construction or materials defect, weather event, or deferred maintenance. He inspects roofing systems, foundations, cases involving water intrusion, and structural failures to determine the cause and origin of the damage.
