Mr. Knowles obtained his Bachelors of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural emphasis, and Master of Engineering degree from Tennessee State University in Nashville, TN. He has more than 21 years of experience in the analysis and design of commercial and residential buildings, bridges and various other structures in both the United States and the Caribbean.
Mr. Knowles has extensive experience in project management, structural analysis and design, and forensic cause and origin investigations and analysis, and property condition assessments. He is an expert at the design and analysis of foundation systems, vertical load carrying systems, and roof systems. His varied experience has provided him with an excellent understanding of structural and building systems, cladding and covering systems, and failure analysis, among others. Having worked on multiple projects of varying scopes in multiple states and countries, his experience is broad, yet relevant.
Mr. Knowles also has more than 10 years of forensic engineering analysis and field experience into the cause and origin of various types of damage including that from natural disasters including windstorms and floods, as well as damage from construction defects. Additionally, he has performed scores of property condition assessments and building system assessments on various property types including hospitality, retail, office, and multi-family. He is client focused, driven, and results oriented.
