Mr. Holden obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Civil Engineering from University of Florida. Mr. Holden’s professional experience includes the design, construction administration, and structural evaluations of numerous types of structures, such as concrete, steel, masonry, and timber, as well as modifying and adding on to existing structures. He has extensive knowledge in threshold inspections and the evaluation of damaged structures as well as repair recommendations for the damaged structures.
As a Lead Design Engineer, Mr. Holden is experienced in the design and construction of multi story structures, resort buildings, school buildings, and office buildings. He was also Lead Design Engineer for projects such as the foundation system for an eight story parking structure, fall protection guardrail system for structures at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Magic Kingdom, and Epcot, and structural steel film towers for University of Florida’s baseball and band practice fields. He has performed threshold inspections for a cast-in-place concrete, splash pool, and lazy river structure, and investigated extensive cracking of a building’s façade, in which he provided cause and repair recommendations.
Mr. Holden is experienced with overseeing overall construction progress, reviewing shop drawings, answering RFI’s, and coordinating changes to construction documents. He also has extensive experience in auger cast piles, pile caps, grade beams, and interior composite structural steel mezzanine frame, and he designed structures which included shallow foundations, tilt-up panels, cast-in-place walls and beams, and CMU walls. Mr. Holden has also assessed damages on piers, including inspections of concrete piles, concrete pier, and marine fenders, along with designing steel pipe pile, concrete pile cap, and gangway support frame for a large gambling vessel. He also has designed several mooring and berthing dolphins for petroleum ships and tanker berths and was project manager and designer for soil erosion remediation that caused damage to sheet pile walls and structural approach slabs.
