Mr. Gardner obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Louisiana State University and his Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering from the University of Illinois. He is an accomplished professional structural engineer with extensive experience in the design of low, mid, and high-rise buildings.
Mr. Gardner has expertise in the design of different structural systems, including reinforced concrete, precast concrete, steel, timber, and masonry. He is experienced in handling building inspections, permitting, and the writing and preparing of design specifications for various types of structures.
As a Project Manager on a number of structures, Mr. Gardner has reviewed engineer of record construction documents for compliance with architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing requirements as well as the completeness of necessary details and specifications for construction. Mr. Gardner’s responsibilities also included writing contracts, writing RFI’s, and supervising field execution. Furthermore, Mr. Gardner is experienced in handling property inspections for hurricane damaged buildings in Florida and the Bahamas and also has seismic experience with retrofitting masonry structures while working for the Army Corps of Engineers.
Mr. Gardner’s field experience includes conducting site visits for multiple projects, performing inspections and writing site visit reports to determine the structural issues in question and to provide structural repair details.
