Mr. Brown obtained his Bachelors of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. He has more than 30 years of experience in the automotive industry and has testified in more than 50 cases. His primary experience includes accident reconstruction and automotive mechanical failure analysis.
Prior to earning his engineering degree, Mr. Brown worked as a Shop Forman and is an ASE Master Certified Service Technician. He can assess failures related to brakes, steering, airbags, suspension, power train components, and security systems as well as diesel and gasoline engine failures. His forensic experience includes vehicle accident reconstruction involving passenger and commercial vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles, pedestrians and multiple-vehicle collisions. As part of his collision analysis, he can provide information on perception and reaction times, intersection line of sight and traffic signal analysis, seat belt use, and head and tail lamp use. Mr. Brown can also evaluate automotive damage to determine consistency with accounts provided, and minor impact collisions. His experience also includes the evaluation of mechanical equipment and systems to determine the cause of failure.
