HVAC Evaluations

Our mechanical engineers perform commercial and residential HVAC evaluations to determine the cause of a failure, damage, or fire.  These equipment experts pinpoint the source of damage and recommend methods of repair that are in line with current standards and guidelines.  We are a member of American Society of Heating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHAE).

Lightning Damage Evaluations: HVAC Units, Pumps, and Appliances

U.S. Forensic performs evaluations on HVAC units, well pumps, and appliances that have reported lightning or electrical surge damage. Our engineers inspect the property for evidence of direct lightning strike damage; visually inspect the unit, pump, or appliance for evidence of lightning; and perform electrical and fluid testing to determine the cause of the failure. We can also provide repair recommendations and review contractor estimates.

Smart Homes

In addition to HVAC units and appliances, U.S. Forensic can evaluate damage to Smart Homes.  Because of the multiple electrical components and multiple entryways into a home, a Smart Home is more susceptible to lightning damage.  Visit our Smart Homes & Lightning page to learn more.

Our written reports will provide a conclusive, defensible opinion as to the cause and extent of damages. All inspections are completed by licensed engineers, and our quick turnaround also affords immediate resolution of a claim.
