Mr. Avila obtained his Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Structural Engineering. He is a professional structural engineer with a variety of experience in the design and construction of low, mid and high-rise buildings, as well as wastewater treatment plants and roadways.
As a Project Manager on several high-rise structures, Mr. Avila has expertise in the design of different structural systems, including reinforced concrete, post-tensioning, steel, timber, precast and masonry. He is also experienced in building inspections, permitting and writing and preparing design specifications for a variety of buildings.
Mr. Avila has done damage assessments for existing buildings and written reports and repair recommendations for the damages observed. Mr. Avila is experienced in construction methods, building codes, scheduling, permitting, change orders and coordinating the efforts of the design team, the general contractor, the subcontractors, the owner and the developer on major high-rise construction projects.
