Joseph Czajka earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Toledo. He has more than 35 years of experience as a civil engineer. His primary experience involves forensic engineering and construction. With more than 3000 forensic engineering evaluations, Mr. Czajka has a vast knowledge of residential and commercial construction.
Mr. Czajka’s experience includes building envelop and water source. He has evaluated structures to identify storm damage, construction defects, and building code compliance. This experience includes roof systems, foundations, structural integrity, water intrusion and duration, ventilation, drainage, and sewers. He can identify whether damage is due to a weather event, improper installation, improper construction, or lack of maintenance. He is experienced in the construction of concrete and steel frame structures including municipal, commercial, industrial, and residential buildings. His forensic evaluations also include ice-damming, soil subsidence and settlement, EPDM membrane, material Handling, lifting/rigging, material defects, and grading and drainage.
Mr. Czajka also has experience in building and highway construction involving design, supervision, workmanship, maintenance, warnings, and other related cause of injury or property damage. He can assess regulations and violations relative to building and roadway construction safety, construction sites, and buildings and grounds, for safety and code compliance. He evaluates slips, trips, and falls on stairs, ramps, decks, walkways and docks. He has experience with Multi-Employer Workplace Accidents and OSHA standards.
