Mr. DeHarde is a graduate of the University of New Orleans with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering Sciences, Mechanical Engineering Option. He has education, training, and experience in mechanical engineering, automotive equipment, elevator and escalator evaluations, psychometrics, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, (HVAC) plumbing, residential, and commercial construction, structures, damage assessment, and failure analysis.
His professional experience includes vehicle fleet design, maintenance, refurbishment, industrial design, management and repair of diesel, gasoline, and electric powered vehicles and diesel powered lift trucks, automotive and heavy equipment maintenance, vehicle and heavy equipment fires, automotive post theft evaluations, mechanical and high voltage electrical equipment manufacturing, machine shop operations, residential design and construction, HVAC systems evaluation and forensic engineering of various engineering related failures. Vehicle manufacturers have used Mr. DeHarde’s recommendations to improve their products, increase safety, and prevent failures. Mr. DeHarde’s recommendations have also been accepted by the Air Diffusion Council, the flexible duct manufacturer’s association, to prevent condensation and mold formation and he has worked with a flexible duct manufacturer to help write their flex duct installation procedure.
Mr. DeHarde’s specific forensic engineering experience includes years of failure analysis and accident investigations. He has given presentations on lightning damage to HVAC and other equipment and moisture source investigations. He has testified in state and municipal courts in Louisiana, Tennessee, and Florida as an expert witness in forensic engineering, vehicle mechanics, mechanical engineering, accident reconstruction, vehicle design, vehicle failures, and hail damage to vehicles.FORENSIC SERVICES: Trucking Accident Reconstruction, Automotive Evaluations, Electrical Evaluations, Equipment Evaluations, Elevator & Escalator Evaluations, HVAC Evaluations, Fire Investigations, Engineering Laboratory, Product Liability Evaluations, Moisture Damage Evaluations, Thermal Imaging Services, Heavy Equipment Failures, Recording Vehicle Speed & Distance Traveled, Crash Data Recorders, Accident Reconstruction Services, Low Speed Impact Cases: Current Challenges & Solutions, Automotive SIU Evaluations
