Mr. Hoffpauir is a graduate of the University of Louisiana-Lafayette with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is a registered Professional Engineer in eight states and an accredited accident reconstructionist. His professional memberships include the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE).
His professional experience includes experience in the diagnosis and repair of automotive powertrain, brake, suspension, and electrical systems. Mr. Hoffpauir also has both hands-on and engineering experience in the oil and gas fields. This includes the design, fabrication, and maintenance of oil and gas production equipment along with the overseeing of natural gas compressor design and refurbishment. He has also served as a consultant during well workover procedures.
Mr. Hoffpauir has years of experience in the forensic engineering field including failure analysis and accident reconstruction of commercial vehicles, passenger vehicles, and motorcycle accidents. He has extensive experience in the analysis of failures of various types of mechanical equipment including automotive components, heavy equipment, plumbing systems, fire suppression systems, heating and ventilation, oil and gas field equipment, logging equipment. His expert testimony has been accepted in both criminal and civil state courts.
