Mr. Alexander is a 1989 graduate of the University of Houston and is a registered professional engineer in 48 states. Throughout his career, he has held positions in the areas of engineering, project management and engineering management including the design of; offshore oilfield drilling equipment, composite material research, structural and oriental steel, air-conditioning equipment and systems, mechanical and hand tools, heavy vehicle for both on and off road applications, truck body and trailer engineering. Mr. Alexander’s forensic engineering experience includes condition surveys, failure analysis and damage inspections of residential, industrial and marine structures, vehicle engineering and accident reconstruction. He has provided engineering consulting services for projects in the United States and the Canada, and has been awarded seven United States Patents ranging from tools to marine drilling components.
Mr. Alexander’s areas of expertise include structural and mechanical design engineering; dynamic and failure analysis of components and systems; Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA); finite element analysis; manufacturing and assembly line engineering, quality control and quality assurance; project scheduling and cost estimating; on and offshore oil drilling equipment; residential, industrial and vehicle condition surveys and failure analysis; accident reconstruction and vehicle design engineering; welding and fastening; mechanical system design; air-conditioning component and system design; machine and hand tool design; composite material research, design and engineering; testing of mechanical systems, components and materials including wood, steel and composites.
