Elevator & Escalator Damage Evaluations
U.S. Forensic’s mechanical engineers conduct elevator and escalator evaluations in order to provide our clients with the information needed to determine if the equipment needs to be replaced or repaired. Our ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) trained elevator inspector can determine if the damage is due to a mechanical failure, water intrusion, electrical failure, or lightning. In addition to the damage assessment, we can perform contractor bid reviews and provide alternative repair options.
Elevator & Escalator Injury Evaluations
Our experts can determine the cause of escalator or elevator accidents or failures. If a passenger reports a sudden acceleration or stop, we can test the function of the equipment and determine if it performs to the safety and building code standards. Our experts can also can also assess door closing speeds, door closing force, and safety signage to identify factors contributing to a failure or accident.
